A pioneering expression of Moschato Samos, where tradition meets innovation.

For the first time, the delicate floral and fruity aromas of Moschato Samos intertwine harmoniously with subtle wood notes, creating a dry wine of remarkable elegance and character. In 2017, NOPERA boldly redefined the possibilities of this celebrated grape, becoming the first winery to vinify Moschato Samos in oak barrels. The result is a truly distinctive wine that embodies both the heritage of the island and the artistry of modern winemaking.

Crafted from certified organic vineyards situated at an altitude of 800 meters, the grapes benefit from the cool microclimate and rocky soils of Samos. With minimal intervention during vinification, the natural character of the grape and terroir shines through. Fermentation takes place in 500-litre French oak barrels, where the wine then rests on its fine lees for six months. This patient approach imparts volume, structure, and a refined balance. Only 2,500 individually numbered bottles are produced, making each one a rare treasure for collectors and enthusiasts.

On the nose, the wine offers complex yet subtle aromas—a delicate interplay of Mediterranean herbs, floral notes, and gentle wood undertones. The palate reveals layers of fresh pear, mandarin, and apricot, supported by lively acidity and a rounded body. The oak integration is seamless, adding depth without overpowering the fruit. Medium to full-bodied, it leaves a lingering, fruity aftertaste with a whisper of oak that gracefully fades.

Food Pairing & Serving:

Nopera Roya Oak pairs beautifully with Mediterranean cuisine. Try it alongside grilled white fish, roasted poultry, creamy risottos, or herb-infused vegetable dishes. Its elegance also makes it a refined partner for soft cheeses and charcuterie boards. Serve lightly chilled to fully appreciate its layered complexity.

This wine is more than a drink—it is a statement of innovation, heritage, and craftsmanship, offering a rare tasting journey into the evolving story of Samos winemaking.
